Flowers: Getting Started & Blooming On
Dream of a garden filled with flowers and having your own freshly-cut blooms? This can be your year!
Join us that morning at Phillies Bridge Farm to learn about growing beautiful and reliable plants. This workshop will cover how to decode a seed packet, choose varieties, organize your layout and maximize your season. Novice gardeners welcome. More experienced growers can benefit from our Q & A and hands-on portion. All participants will sow seeds to transplant into their dream gardens later at home. Make 2023 your most flower-filled summer yet!
Admission cost is $25 per attendee and includes all materials.

Join Lauren Tamraz of Alchemy Farmhouse, Gardiner’s CSA flower farm, to learn about soil blocking and growing cut flowers. Soil blocking is a great way to grow vigorous, healthy plant starts, save on space and reduce plastic usage. If you’ve ever struggled to find space for all your spring seedlings before it’s warm enough to transplant to your garden, soil blocking can help! Lauren will also share information about growing cut flowers including key varieties for beginners and beyond, planning for a harvest from spring through autumn and best practices for long lasting blooms.
